Command Medallions are identification tokens for individuals within sects or organizations. Similar in appearance to Challenge Coins, Command Medallions typically bear a sect’s insignia or emblem, making them a clear symbol of allegiance and status for members.
Command Medallions are not just decorative; they serve multiple purposes:
- Contribution Points Storage: Each medallion holds a user’s contribution points, the internal currency used for transactions within their sect.
- Currency and Transaction Facilitation: Medallions enable the easy spending of a sect’s specific currency, simplifying trade or purchases without the need for additional items or paperwork.
- Status and Position Display: Medallions signal an individual’s rank or role, such as Holy Son/Daughter or Grandmaster, within the sect. This visual indication of authority can help prevent or de-escalate potential conflicts, as outsiders immediately recognize the bearer’s standing.
The High Council’s Medallions
The High Council uses uniquely designed Command Medallions that differ from those of other sects and organizations. These medallions are specifically designed to reflect the rank of the current holder:
- Position-Specific Appearance: Each medallion changes its appearance based on the rank of the High Council member holding it. For example, ordinary High Council members, The Members Above The High Council, and The Founder each have distinct medallion designs.
- Intrusion Prevention: If a non-member attempts to hold a High Council Command Medallion, it will transform, either into a blank slate or into an ominous indicator signifying that the bearer should be eliminated. This transformative feature acts as a powerful security measure against intruders and has thwarted numerous attempts at infiltration, particularly from those using disguising techniques.
